India vs England, 4th Test Day 1: England Dismissed for 246; India Reach 19/0 at Stumps

After the Stumps of Day 1 of fourth Test between India and England at Rose India reached 19/0, on the other hand Sam Curran’s gutsy 78 helped England reach 246 but sensational performance from the Indian pacers here, led by Jasprit Bumrah who again picked three wickets. India trail by 227 runs with 10 wickets remaining here!

The first day is completely dominated by the Indian bowlers, specially Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami exploited it to perfection, breaking the backbone of the hosts. The Englishmen were reeling at 86/6 but the pair of Moeen Ali and Sam Curran put in a rearguard effort. They put the bad balls away and kept the scoreboard ticking, adding 81 runs together in the process.

Both the Indian openers, Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul have seen off the tricky phase (20-odd minutes) to head back unscathed to their dressing room.
